GNR To Put Pensioners In Contact With Families Via Video Calls.

Altice Portugal and Huawei Portugal are donating tablets and free internet to GNR police so that officers can put thousands of pensioners in contact with their families via video calls.

The goal is to fight the feeling of isolation that some pensioners might experience during the lockdown.

GNR Lieutenant General Botelho Miguel said that the police force has a key role in the lives of the elderly, as officer visits are often the only regular social contact they have.
