How To Apply Portugal Residence Title (Título De Residência): Process

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET PORTUGAL RESIDENCE TITLE:

For Legal Immigrants – Valid Schengen Visa or European Residence Card. You can apply
for a residence card even with a single tax.

For Illegal Immigrants – Expire Schengen Visa or European Residence Card or Without
Visa. You need to pay a minimum 12-month tax.

PROCESS:

LEGAL ENTRY – If you enter with Valid Schengen Visa or European Residence Card in
Portugal, after arrival within 72 hours you need to get Legal Entry from any SEF (Servico De
Estrangeiros E Fronteiras) or SEF Authorized Hotels.

NIF (NUMBER IDENTIFICATION FISCAL – You need to get NIF through any residence
guarantor.

JUNTA (RESIDENCE ADDRESS) – You need to get registered your current address.

JOB CONTRACT – You need to find a job and get your job contract.

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER – After getting a job you or your an employer can apply for
Social Security Number.

POLICE CHARACTER CERTIFICATE (PCC) – You need to get Police Character Certificate
from your home town in Pakistan. You need to visit Pakistan embassy in Lisbon for getting
Authority Letter for PCC. You can authorize you, blood relative, they can apply PCC on your
behalf in Pakistan. After PCC received you need to get attested from following;

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENT ON SEF SAPA SYSTEM)

After gathering above-mentioned documents you need to upload there scanned copies.

After the submission of documents, you need to wait for document review and approval. When you receive document approval email then you can get an Appointment for Residence Card.

RESIDENCE CARD APPOINTMENT PROCESS:

On appointment, you need to take all of your original documents with you like;

Valid Passport

Legal Entry

Salary Slip (Last Three)

Police Character Certificate from your home country

Police Character Certificate from the country of residence for more than one year (when not
Portugal)

Evidence that the applicant has adequate accommodation (Junta – Residence Address)

Evidence of Social Security Number

Evidence of NIF

Job Contract

Employer Declaration
